Our Story

Born from Love.
Grown with Purpose.

Terra's Blessing isn't just a mushroom farm. It's a love story, a healing journey, and a mission to share nature's most powerful gifts with the world.

Where It All Began

A Husband's Search for Healing

Terra, my wife, lives with Moyamoya disease — a rare condition where blood vessels in the brain narrow and block, cutting off blood flow. Over the years, she has suffered many mini strokes and several major ones.

We tried everything conventional medicine had to offer. Terra even underwent brain surgery — a procedure that was supposed to help save part of her mind. It didn't work. The surgery failed, and we were left facing the reality that the medical options we had put our hope in couldn't give us the answers we needed.

But Terra made it through. She survived the failed surgery, the strokes, and every setback that came with them. And that's when we knew — if conventional medicine couldn't help, we had to find another way.

A New Path

When Everything Else Failed, Nature Answered

With conventional treatments exhausted, we turned to alternative medicine. That search led us to lion's mane mushrooms — a remarkable fungus known for stimulating nerve growth factor and its potential to help heal brain injuries and strengthen the mind.

We added lion's mane to Terra's diet. We learned to make tinctures. And it seemed to help. The goal was never to undo what had happened — it was to strengthen what she has left. To give her brain every possible advantage. To fight for every bit of clarity, every moment of sharpness, every good day.

That's what lion's mane became for us — not a miracle cure, but a real, tangible tool in Terra's ongoing fight. Something we could grow with our own hands and know exactly what was going into her body.

Unshakeable

Through It All, Terra's Faith Never Wavered

Failed surgeries. Strokes. A diagnosis that most people have never even heard of. Through every setback, every hospital visit, every moment of uncertainty — Terra has held onto a deep, unwavering faith in her future.

She doesn't see herself as someone defined by her disease. She sees herself as someone who has survived it — again and again. Her strength isn't just physical. It's spiritual. It's a belief that better days are ahead, that her story isn't over, and that there is purpose in every step of this journey.

That faith is the foundation of everything we do. It's why this farm exists. It's why we wake up every morning and tend to our mushrooms with care. Because if Terra can face what she's faced and still believe in tomorrow — we can build something beautiful today.

The Farm

From Kitchen Remedy to Family Farm

Once we saw what lion's mane could do, we wanted to grow it ourselves. Along the way, we fell in love with the entire world of gourmet mushrooms — the stunning blue oysters, the vibrant pink oysters, the magnificent lion's mane cascading like a waterfall.

We built a dedicated fruiting building with climate-controlled rooms right here in Dowagiac, Michigan. We dialed in our process. And Terra's Blessing was born — named after the woman who inspired it all.

Every mushroom we grow carries the same intention that started this journey: to nourish, to heal, and to bring a little more goodness into the world.

Grown with Love

This farm exists because of love. That intention is in everything we do, from seed to harvest.

Healing at the Core

We started this farm to heal. That mission drives us to grow the highest quality medicinal and gourmet mushrooms possible.

Looking Forward

We're Just Getting Started

We're always looking to expand what we grow and share with our community. New varieties are on the horizon, and we're excited about what's ahead.

But no matter how much we grow, the heart of Terra's Blessing will always be the same: a family farm built on love, driven by healing, and carried by faith. Terra's story isn't over. The best chapters are still being written.
